Works best in the camera
As you may have read, there can be problems regarding data loss/corruption. I experienced similar issues when using my 5-year-old monitor’s SD card reader. It appears to be a technical issue with older readers and newer SD cards, so I stick to transferring images using my camera and the USB cable. Haven’t had any problems that way.
Works great every time
I have purchased two of these. One used in my wife’s Canon Powershot 790 for the past year, and the other in my Nikon D90 DSLR for about 6 months. Both cards work great and speedy enough to handle the D90 continuous shooting just fine. Not sure why some reviewers are having problems other than 1. be sure to format the cards using the camera prior to using 2. not the card but the card reader issue when WinXP not recognizing? 3. bad quality control by Transcend? For me, again, everything works like a charm. I’d buy it again…maybe go for the 16gb next time.
