Kindle 2 vs. Ipad I have both a kindle and an iPad, and if you are trying to decide which to get, you really need to consider the kindle if you are going to use it primarily for reading. I love my kindle! The iPad is neat, but the backlight on it makes it hard to read over long periods of time (think about reading text from your computer). The kindle 2 Global has a natural paper look that makes it easy to read for long periods of time. I bring my kindle everywhere, and am constantly being stopped by people who want to look at the page quality, and no one has been disappointed yet. There is a kindle app on iPad, and it is like the kindle for pc app-less features and backlit. A nice treat (yes, the cookbooks look extra yummy) but I really only use it if I want to play around on my iPad. I hope this helps some people decide. Books=kindle, fancy apps=iPad.
