Great protection – needs one design change This product provides an excellent protection for the Kindle DX global edition. The shell is firm enough to protect against casual blows, and of course the zippered enclosure keeps the dirt and dust out of the keys and off the screen. The zipper can actually be done back up after the case is folded back (allowing papers and notes to be kept safe), but the zipper’s pull tab does not swing around to allow easily doing it back up. It is not going to keep the screen from being broken if the unit is sat upon, but nothing that is readily portable will accomplish that anyway. The corners of the case are tight to use the first time the unit is mounted (I used needle-nose pliers to position the fourth corner the first time, but after that I was able to do it with my fingers), but that is better than risking the unit falling out once these corners have eased up from a bit of use.

The one change I would really like to see done is for there to be an access for the USB cable. Short of taking the unit out of the case, the USB cable can only be plugged in by forcing down the bottom edge of the case and sliding the plug into place. This has to be puttinga bad strain on the small USB plus that is used for both charging the unit’s battery and for uploading books to/from a PC. A small port at the base of the zipper in the middle of the bottom edge of the case would solve this problem, and this has been done on at least one competetive unit.

Overall – I would buy this one again if I had need of another.

Like it but, not sure how long it will stay attached The cover itself is exactly what I wanted. It fits well and can be taken any where without drawing attention to itself. The 2 concerns I have is that while the cover attached easily to the Kindle the plastic attaching “prongs” do not seem like something that will last a long time. And on that same note, the front part lifts open and folds back for easy reading however, in a hurry, I have tried to open the back part of the cover (which can look like the front if you are in a hurry) which is not designed to open. I think if I had not stopped in time I would have quickly broken the attaching prongs which would then need a full cover replacement.

I just now received the cover for my new Kindle DX and am more than pleased. It is perfect from my perspective-does what I want it to do, cover and protect as well as dress up the electronic box, all at a decent price. I can’t figure out the basis for the negative reviews as I find it to be apparently well made, using good materials and very clever in design (as small and unobtrusive as possible). Obviously having just received it I can’t comment on durability but at this stage I see no reason not to have high expectations on that score. I also bought the light for it which seems to be a pretty good idea. My suggestion for improvement would be to integrate the light into the cover, or better yet, to offer a cover either with or without the light built in.

Well Made, Beautiful Cover Here is the deal, I love this product but I returned it. Make sense? Good.

I ordered this product 2 weeks after getting the Kindle2 (Kindle global Edition). I chose it because of the right side bands that hold the corners of the Kindle in place. The reviews of the official Amazon case talked too much about cracks and I figured the extra support from this cover would help avoid that problem.

And it probably does, I doubt my Kindle would have ever cracked if I kept this cover. It is made exceptionally well, the material is plush but tough. Stitching is great, the Amazon approved connector works great, I really have no complaints.

The problem was that I turned out to be a ‘naked kindle’ type reader. After using it without a cover for the first two weeks, I really liked reading it bare in my hands. It is so slim and easy to hold on its own that adding the cover took away from it a bit for me.

So I decided to return this great cover for a simple case. Nothing against the M-Edge GO, just not the style for me.

Near-Perfect Kindle Cover I was originally going to buy the official Amazon cover because I was concerned that this cover’s straps for the Kindle’s corners might get in the way. But, after reading about cover-cracking issues with the Amazon cover, I opted for this one, and love it. Here are some thoughts:

-Contrary to my worries, the straps do not get in the way while reading the Kindle.
-The Kindle edge hooks worked fine once I read the instructions on how to attach the device (same as for the Amazon cover).
-The outside of the cover looks and feels like a high-quality day planner. I can leave it on my desk at work and not have to constantly answer questions about my Kindle (“What’s that?”).
-The inside is soft suede, which is easy on the hands and does not scratch the Kindle display.
-The weight is fine. I thought adding a cover might be an issue, as I was getting used to handling the naked Kindle before I bought the cover. The assemblage feels like a day planner in weight.
-After about a week of use, the “binding” wore in, and folds back nicely. At first, it was a little stiff.

Great build quality and protection for Kindle

This is my favorite case for the Kindle. As someone who likes to take out the Kindle from a case while reading it, this slip case works great. I don’t have to deal with any straps or mounts at all and the case offers great protection when I’m storing and transporting my Kindle. I’m very happy with this case for the price as the build quality seems top notch (build quality is better than the Patagonia one and that one has straps so is less convenient!)

Perfect Kindle 2 Case Exactly what I was looking for! I first ordered a cover that the Kindle clipped into and stayed on while reading. It was nice but I decided I liked reading with the Kindle naked. So I wanted something that would protect the Kindle while keeping it easy to take in and out of.

Bought this after reading the reviews and I am very happy with it. Nice padding but still not too bulky. Zippers work great and I like that there are two pulls rather than just 1. Only thing I would wish for on this thing is a way to plug in the charger while the Kindle is still in the case, fully zipped. I guess you could do that by putting it in the case upside down, but oh well.

As for the smell….I noticed a bit of a vinyl smell when I first opened the package but it was nearly 100% gone within 30 minutes. I wouldn’t worry about it at all if I were you.

Belkin Kindle 2 Case Looks sharp. Feels as if it is well put together. Protects against scratches, dings, and dents. I like that you can take it out of the case to read. Great Buy

I love the fact that you get two Kindle USB cords AND a wall adaptor and car adaptor. If you have other electronic equipment (iPod, BlackBerry, Palm device, etc.) these will be incredibly handy. It’s really great to leave the adaptor plugged into your car and just change the USB cord to fit your device. In a perfect world, all these devices would use a universal cord but, until that happens, these adaptors and cords make life a little bit easier.

A good Kindle book light Because of the negative reviews, I was a little bit skeptical that this book light would be good enough. It is very good – more than good enough.
