Great Car Seat

It’s hard to go wrong with a Britax! I’m currently using the car seat as rear-facing. It fits easily in my 4Runner, installs easily and my daughter loves it. When I first read about the Boulevard Click-n-Safe version (clicks when straps are the proper tightness), I rolled my eyes and wondered why anyone would pay extra for the click. Then amazon had it for sale at the same price as the regular Boulevard car seat so I bought it (I liked the fabric pattern more). Now, I’m very happy I went with this version. The click is a handy feature! I figure one day when my daughter is bigger and wants to “help” with her car seat buckles, I can let her tug on the strap until she hears the ‘click’, and she’ll know she’s in safe.

I researched online the best car seat for my car and this was the only one suggested. It is a great seat. I needed something not only sturdy and safe but comfortable for my 2 month old, especially since we were about to take a 10 hour road trip. Whereas he absolutely hated the previous seat and could not tolerate being in it for more than about 15 mins to 1/2 hr, he was much happier in this one lasting up to 2hrs. I was also pleased with how easy it was to adjust the straps. Yes it is a little pricey, but I think it was an investment well worth the cost.

Great seat! Not hard to install with latch and tether!

I did not have one problem installing this seat. I read through the instructions went out and installed it under 5 minutes and got a nice tight installation with latch and tether. I have not tried installing with the seat belt yet so I can’t comment about that one right now. Make sure that you pull the recline bar forward in harness mode and tighten the latch straps through the belt holes. My daughter is very comfy in her new frontier. So far we love it. Only downfall is that it is rather large and heavy like most britax models. Not one that you would want to move around too much.

I ordered this for my grandson who has three older siblings. He just turned two years old, but he is a big boy! His siblings have “booster seats”, and every time they loaded up to go out, he threw a fit to sit in their seats. It is large and roomy, but not too much! My son came out of a rollover accident unscathed in this carseat!

This carseat was a god-send, my husband was in a rollover accident with my son in the car in his Britax Boulevard carseat. Thanks to the car (subaru WRX) and the carseat, my son emerged from the car unscathed and said “Dad, your car is broken”. The carseat had no stress marks and the tether indicator made it easy to verify that the webbing had not been damaged in the wreck. I’m not sure if the side impact made the difference, but the fact is my son was totally untouched and had no pain or whiplash after a high-speed complete rollover accident on the freeway. I highly recommend this carseat!!!

what a wonderful seat

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of this carseat. I love everything about it from the fabric, to the styling, to the fit in the car. This carseat had by far one of the best designs in latch buckles and in harness adjustment. Plus the added safety of the side impact eased my mind. I know it costs a lot but those coupons you earn can help out. It was a perfect fit for my 9 month old that grew out of her carrier carseat (big girl). To top it off it arrived a month earlier than expected…which was awesome because I don’t think my daughter would’ve made it much longer in her old seat.

great car seat for keeping kids harnessed longer

I found this car seat while searching for something reasonably priced that would harness past 40 pounds. I bought a different seat first, but while it claimed to harness to 50# and 47″, my 37 pound 2 year old was already too tall for it. I returned it and purchased the Nautilus. We are using the harness straps in the second hole down, so he still has a good deal of room to grow in this seat. The straps are extremely easy to adjust and installation was no problem. I use the vehicle seatbelts rather than LATCH. The arm rests are very sturdy. The cup holder is in a good location. I plan to keep him harnessed in this seat for hopefully 2 more years, or until he becomes too tall, and then continue to use this seat as a belt positioning booster. The headrest is very easy to adjust and is able to raise quite high. This seat can accomodate a 20# child, but it’s much better to use a convertible seat and keep the child rear facing to 35#.

Great carseat!

I love this carseat so much, I’m going to purchase another one for our other car! I was having a hard time finding a carseat that was high-weight on the 5-point harness that didn’t cost a ton of $$. My kid is a car sleeper, so good head support was a must (this is an issue with my other carseat now).

It has great head support for when he falls asleep, nice deep, wide cupholder, and is the most secure fit I’ve gotten in any of my carseats so far! My 30-month, 30-pound son is very comfy, and it’s super easy to adjust around his clothing, etc. NOTE: I don’t recommend putting it together in a parking lot at 11PM in winter, as it takes some time to assemble and is hard to do with cold fingers.

very comfortable infant carseat

i bought this carseat in the color ‘lotus’ (crimson and black) and my daughter loved riding in it. the double infant head support cushion was key during the first couple of weeks – i’ve talked with other people who’ve had difficulty using infant carseats with just a single head support, as the newborn’s head bobbles around. excellent safety ratings and not TOO heavy, although not the lightest carseat out there. installation of the base into our car (prius) was fairly easy, although it required aggressive tightening (i.e. my brother-in-law getting on top of it and yanking really hard on the straps) to be really secure. getting the carseat in and out of the car was easy, and carrying was fine. the baby fell asleep in it a lot, but also just relaxed and enjoyed being rocked in it when we had it on the floor. nice padding. my only complaint: she outgrew it in 16 weeks.

Comfortable, reasonably priced and safe!

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this car seat. This car seat consistently receives high safety ratings and is reviewed very favorably on Consumer Reports. It’s light and easy to snap in and out of the base. You can purchase Graco’s inexpensive Snugrider stroller frame to avoid even having to take the baby out of the seat. There are also adaptors for just about every stroller to snap this seat into it. The only con I have (that didn’t warrant downgrading its rating) is that the fabric is very hot … but then again all car seats are hot by nature of their design. It’s not a huge issue, we just dress the baby a little lighter when he’ll be in the seat for a long period of time.

All in all, this is a great buy for a high quality infant seat!
