I purchased this 1-cup coffee maker for a friend who doesn’t have a computer and is confined to a wheelchair. He missed his morning coffee but didn’t feel he could make a whole pot and throw so much away. He was unaware that a single cup coffee maker existed. I assisted him in learning how to operate the device and he is thoroughly enjoying it. Package was shipped promptly and packed well.

I am an avid coffee drinker who enjoys a cup on my way to work in the morning. We have a large 12 cup coffee maker but my wife has recently given up coffee as we are expecting our second child. I was tired of brewing a single cup in the large coffee maker so was searching for a single cup machine that didn’t require those new POD systems.

The Black n Decker is a very basic single cup coffee machine that brews a good not great cup of coffee.

I recently purchased this item and overall I really like it-simple, convenient size, auto-turn off, no pot, good price, etc. However a helpful note for those of you considering purchasing it in regard to the mug (for the DCM18S model): the inside of it is NOT stainless steel. Only the outside is. When I bought it, I figured the mug had a stainless steel inside, but its made of plastic, like the old model (DCM18). Also the handle is flimsy. A couple suggestions here for Black and Decker!

So I’m going to try to find a stainless steel-lined mug that fits in this coffee maker. I used to have a mug that was stainless steel lined and you don’t get that a) plastic taste, or b) residual stale coffee taste that you sometimes get with plastic mugs.

What types of walk-behind mowers are there?

There are four basic choices: push reel, electric, cordless, and gas. All have strengths and weaknesses.

This is the first electric mower I have owned and I have found it to be easier to use than a gas powered mower. It is lighter than a gas mower and is less tiring to use in spite of not being self propelled. The flip over handle is a must have feature to prevent cord tangles and is the reason that I purchased the MM675 rather than one of the other models. All in all it is an excellent mower and allows me to finish the yard (front and back) in less time than did the self propelled mower that it replaced. I have not owned it long enough to comment on reliability but if it is the same quality as past Black & Decker products I have owned it should hold up very well. I would highly recommend this mower to anyone who is considering an electric lawn mower.

Excellent first impression

I have just used the mower for the first time and I will say it works great. I’ve have grown tired of maintaining my gas items and am switching everthing to electric. I do not have a small lawn and the mower did not miss a beat. It also sucked up the stray leaves and stuff and mulched them up just fine. I have used an older Black&Decker model in the past as well as other mowers and I will say this one is very quiet in comparison. VERY quiet. This one seems sturdy and the flip handle helps a little with avoiding the cord as well as helping with storage. (I put it in the shed with the handle almost staight up. It’s worth the extra) The height adjustment is easy to use, one lever moves all four wheels and I like the safety shut-off lever. If you relase the lever the blade stops instantly. A good feature with kids around. It’s a very nice mower.

Perfect replacement for the original MM875 mower blade

This is the exact match for the original blade that comes on the MM875 mower. Although it’s hard to tell in the picture, it has the little curved ends just like the original blade. It’s easy to install, and even comes with instructions although it’s pretty obvious how to change it even without them. I had hit a rock and really messed up my original blade, so changing it out for this replacement blade made the mower cut just like it was new again.

Replacement blades for these mowers can be hard to find. The store where I bought the mower didn’t have the blade, so I was glad to find it here on Amazon. I later discovered it at one of the big box home improvement stores, but it’s just as easy to get it here and have it delivered to your door.

This is a perfect match for the OEM blade that came with my Black & Decker electric lawn mower #MM850. Super quick and easy to install following the included instructions. This works great if you need a replacement spool. Sometimes they wear down and need to be replaced and this does the trick. I usually re-wind my own string until it wears down. B&D Side Bag Useful in the Fall

The Black & Decker BA-075 Side Bag Assembly is great for bagging the mower’s mulched leaves in the fall. For small lawns, it’s a lot easier than raking. The bag attaches and detaches quickly and easily from the mower, and the bag unzips easily for emptying. The leaves, being mulched, are much more compact than raked leaves for more convenient disposal. I enjoy fall lawn cleanup much more with this mower attachment.

Quality at a low price

I have a B & D mower that this bag fits to. Previously, I owned a Toro electric mower with a side bag. The Toro was problematic in that grass would clog the outlet on the mower where it connects to the bag. So, every few minutes I would have to stop and unclog and clean up the mess. I only have a small plot of grass (approximately 250 sq. ft.) and this will fill the bag 1 time. I empty the bag, and I am done. And the other thing I noticed is that there is no cut grass left on the lawn, something else the Toro couldn’t do. I think that B & D got this right, and at a much lower price than the Toro.

This refers to the blade housing. The wider the cutting deck, the fewer passes it will take to mow a given area. However, consider how many obstacles there are in your yard. The wider the deck, the tougher it may be to fit the mower into tight spaces.

Really happy with this mower

My gas mower died and I was without a mower for a couple of summers. I finally had to buy one, but didn’t want another gas mower because I don’t believe they are safe enough. I was going to buy the B & D Lawn Hog, which is a bit larger and costs more, when I happened to find the 175 here at Amazon. It has lower amps than the Lawn Hog, but is perfect for my needs. I was surprised at the power it delivers but is easily kept under control. And while lightweight, it doesn’t bounce around during mowing. Another nice feature is the start lever in the handle. You just pull it toward you and it starts as easily as any other electric appliance. Remove your hand, and the lever falls back and the machine immediatly shuts off. Also, you don’t have the smell of gasoline coming back up in your face. I really like this machine.

I grew up with a gas mower. It was big and smelly but did the job. I actually ordered a gas mower from Amazon but it took forever to come, so I switched to this mower since my lawn needed cutting. This mower works great, and you never smell like gasoline! Very easy to start and stop, and super easy to put together. It is also very lightweight – anyone can push it around. The toughest part is the electric cord, which you get used to pretty quickly – it’s just like a vacuum. So any lawn with a lot of trees or anything above .25 acres is not going to be very workable. But for small lawns with few obstacles, it is pretty easy to use.The bag is also very helpful and handy.

Better than Rowenta! Hands down!

I have owned Kenmore Irons, and a top line Rowenta that was recently dropped – replaced by this B&D model. It holds more water than others, there is no gimicky controls – very basic – press the button for the right textile setting and go. The sole plate is smooth – steam is powerful. I iron all my jeans – most come out of the dryer with hard creases – this iron presses them all out. Delicate items – poly and blends – no melting! My old Rowenta melted everthing it touched – and then the $15 cleaning kit was a hassel with Rowenta – not to mention all the spitting from the steam holes. Black and Decker has made a fantastic iron that well worth the money! Don’t hesitate – just buy it.

I replaced my VERY old iron with the Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron, so I am comparing my new iron to a twenty year old iron. However, the D2030 can iron in less than half the time as my old iron. I don’t even need starch. The steamer works GREAT with a variable steam dial to select the right amount of steam. Great Replacement for Original

I purchased a Black & Decker Leaf Blower and Hand Vacuum so I had 2 battery chargers. Just over 1 year later both chargers were garbage. It seems typical that the original chargers do fail quickly as per other reviews. I purchased this charger and am very happy with it. It seems to have revived my battery packs, my Leaf Blower definitely last longer to finish the job and then some, as before a battery pack would barely last long enough to do half the yard. Work-saving device

I have a lot of queen palms, which have quickly become too tall to trim
without getting on a ladder that’s too high for comfort. Not to mention
the amount of force needed to squeeze the handles on loppers or drag a
tree saw back and forth a jillion times. These are just the ticket. The
chain saw is at the end of a long pole, which makes it heavy, but you only
need to hold it there for a few seconds to cut through the frond or the
seed pod. I know it would be costly to have someone trim these for me,
but for a while longer I can take care of this myself and save some money.
I’m a woman, so I don’t have the strength of a man, but this makes the job
possible. Would definitely recommend this tool. Once the fronds are down
on the ground, I use it to saw them to size for the recycling container.

Definitely does the job

With a yard full with oak trees, maple trees and various types of palm trees, there were plenty of branches to try the Black & Decker cordless pole saw out on. I can honestly say that this is one good yard tool. The first time I used it, it was very easy to assemble and the battery powered chain saw was strong enough to take down some branches that were close to 6 and 8 inches in diameter without any problems. When all three sections are assembled, the saw is surprisingly light and very easy to control, even when it is used at full extension. The carrying bag that comes with it is a very nice addition and it makes storing the pole saw very easy, without any chance of misplacing any of the parts. The battery needs to be charged for at least 9 hours before using it the first time but it seems to hold the charge very well, even after cutting tons of branches. For those of us here in Florida, or whereever strong storms and hurricances seem to hit, this pole saw will also come in very handy for that after-storm cleanup that seems to be never-ending. This should help make all of that cleanup a lot easier. And especially for those that are afraid of using a full sized chain saw, this is the perfect one for you. I highly recommend this pole saw to anyone that needs a good lighweight pole saw. It’s a great tool at a very good price by a very reputable company, Black & Decker.

Great Products

I was previously using all gas powered yard tools, blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, great products but loud, smelly and sometimes difficult to start. I had been looking at electric powered products to get rid of those trips to the gas station, however, pulling an electrical cord around my yard did not appeal to me at all. Then i came across this kit on amazon. The Black & Decker is a good one IMO so i took a chance and ordered from amazon.

I have been highly satisfied the battery power last well enough on my 12,000 square foot lot. The tool are nice and quiet and i can do my yard work early in the morning without disturbing the neighbors. I must say all 3 products work great for their intended purpose. The bonus IMO is the batter charger mount that can charge all three included batteries at the same time. Also, the mountable storage station is great and makes storing the equipment easy. My father came over and was hooked on these and placed an order the next day, great products at a great price from amazon what could be better, lol…….

great “bang for the buck” for the AVERAGE home-owner

for the owner of a “modest” yard,..this is an INCREDIBLE bang for the buck. the weed trimmer and the hedge trimmer did their jobs excellently and the sweeper exceeded my expectations to the Nth degree. ALL THREE tools were up-to-the-task of trimming, hedging, edging and sweeping. i was MOST concerned about battery life. i manicured my entire yard with ALL THREE tools with nary a gasp from the battery (15-20 minutes use from each,..NOT counting pauses between “uses”). the package comes with a 3-station battery charger AND a “hanging station” for all three tools (PLUS,..you can pick up an extra 18 volt battery or two at your local megastore IF you need it [for large yards]). i could not be happier…..weeds and grass got whacked, my various hedges got trimmed AND my carport and driveway were cleared of debris in a matter of moments. AND….THE NOISE….DID I MENTION THE NOISE??? THAT’S BECAUSE THESE ARE VERY QUIET, NEIGHBORHOOD-FRIENDLY POWER TOOLS. i am quite satisfied and would HIGHLY recommend the CCC3000 kit to ANYONE with “fairly” modest lawn care needs.
