For something completely Different This worked great for one aspect of my project, and then not so well on another,, You really have to let the tool do the work and it will perform better than if you were to force it.
For example, I had some old aluminum windows I was replacing; they were 33 years old and original to the house. The inside was wrapped with wood then textured and painted to match the sheetrock. The house had vinyl siding applied to the exterior so I was unable to cut the windows out easily like you typically would (along the frame from the outside to cut loose the fins).
So plan B, collapse the frames. I had 33 years and multiple coats of caulking gluing the frame to the wood on the inside – That is where the tool worked and saved me so much time it easily paid for itself!! It also worked great for taking up old glued down floor vinyl (not very hard things, just real time consuming).
The area where it struggled was cutting through nails; larger ones like 10p +, it did great on smaller finish nails.
So, when I first saw the commercials on late night TV, I thought — just another new thing that I would not have a use for, or if I did, I would use some other tool I already have! I was wrong.
I have one now and I am glad I do!
Can’t do without this tool I had to expand the cabinet area to install a new stove. Without this tool the work would have been so much harder to get done. There was some very tight areas to get into as the cabinets were home made. With out this tool it would have taken so,so much longer and much stress. I love this product and I would recommend it to anyone. It is very easy to use and does a perfect job
