Rockwell Jawhorse Item has proved all as advertized. Excellent stability on both even and uneven surface. Ease of use outstanding. First used to join wood using plate joiner and biscuits; it held wood very firm and reduced my normal cutting time by over half. Plywood extension makes working with 4×8′s so much more pleasant. Great addition to my workshop.
If you were to buy only ONE accessory for your jawhorse this is it When I got my jawhorse I did not want to buy all the accessories for it, I wanted one accessory that with a little imagination on my part, I could modify to do several jobs. By modify I do not mean actually changing this plywood jaw, I mean figuring out ways I can get it to work as a worktable,a miter saw bench, and whatever else I can come up with.
I believe I picked the right accessory here. I don’t need a welding jig but I bet I could figure something out using this jaw. As I said in the title of this review if you were to buy just one accessory for the jawhorse this is the one.
I see where others have downgraded their reviews of this product because it is too heavy. If you want a tool that is of good quality, and will last for years, it’s going to be heavy. This plywood jaw will be around doing it’s job long after I have departed this life. I’m a disabled older man and I do not think it is too heavy.
I’m very impressed with the quality of it. I knew it would be good when I got it but it turned out even better than I was expecting.
