Waste of 99 cents,
This “book” is about how to find the directions on the Amazon web site. A total waste of money. If you want to find the directions on how to share your books, go to “manage my kindle.” On the right you will see “how to share books.” Go to that section. You’ll get the information without paying 99 cents.

|Sharing Kindle Books,
I didn’t actually buy this book. I had it loan to me by a friend who did
We both got Kindles for Christmas, and had no idea, how to loan Amazon Kindle books before reading this guide. Now if I can only get her to loan me Stieg Larsson’s book the “The Girl with the dragon tattoo”. Come on Rebecca, play nice. HeHe!!

|This info is FREE!,
After reading a few reviews I figured out how to loan books. Here goes:
First you will need to be at a computer.
sign in to the Amazon website, then go to “manage your kindle” tab (upper right of screen)
Click on “open orders” or “your orders” tab(right side of screen)
To see if the book is loanable, click on the ” + ” ti the left of the book title.
If the book is loanable (since not all of them are) you will see a “loan this book” tab
Just follow the instructions from there.
If you have other questions about loaning books go to kindle support, scroll down to “can i loan kindle books” and click on “lending kindle books”. From there you will be able to answer any questions you might have.
Good luck!

|Without this guide I would never know that Kindle’s capabilities extend beyond a simple book reader!,
Like many new Kindle users, I bought this “survival guide” when I first logged into my Kindle account. The very first tip that I used, was a tip on how to download free eBooks. That repaid the cost of the “survival guide” right away. Was this information available elsewhere? Definitely, and those with plenty of time will find it. But if you want to save time and look for answers in the user manual, then this guide is for you.
My next task was to familiarize myself with the Kindle interface. Again the “survival guide” served its purpose. It directed me through multiple capabilities of the Kindle step by step. Who knew that the Kindle had games, that it can be used as an image viewer, and as a calculator? I did not see the instructions for any of these capabilities in the official Kindle Manual. Now I am able to read free news from the Kindle web browser and use Kindle to send an occasional email. I didn’t even need to type the URLs. The guide has a list of Kindle friendly websites organized by category.
Toly K seems to be writing for the typical Kindle user who wants everything explained to him step by step. The style of the guide is similar to the official Kindle Manual. I recommend this guide to readers interested in taking their Kindle beyond the functionality explained in the official Kindle Manual. Download the sample and look at the TOC. If the topics listed in the TOC get your attention, then buy the eBook and be assured that these topics are explained in the guide in easy and gradual manner without technicalities and jargon. Of course you can find the information by searching internet forums, but for 99 cents it is convenient to have all this information in one location on the Kindle.

|A great reference tool!,
After trying to read the eBook manual that came with the Kindle, I realized it was written like a novel rather than a how-to user guide. This is probably why people don’t read manuals. The Kindle Survival Guide was simple, to the point, and broken up into chapters to make information very easy to access. There is no technical jargon and the required actions to complete each task are clearly outlined. What a great reference tool.

|This manual definitely helped me to discover a lot of the cool features and shortcuts,
I thought the Kindle was an overpriced eBook reader until I found out all that it could do. This manual definitely helped me to discover a lot of the cool features and shortcuts, not just how to flip the pages and buy books. I had no idea you could surf the internet and check email on this device. Five stars.
