Our Yoga mat came from the desire to provide the finest yoga sticky mat at the best price. We feel that most 1/8 inch thick sticky mats are too thin and soft and simply do not provide enough cushion to ones knees, ankles and other sensitive bones for comfortable yoga practice. Yoga mat is 140% thicker measuring 1/4″ thickness and with more density. We wanted a mat that was longer than 68″ so that we wouldn’t have to adjust our position so often to stay on the mat such as having your face be on the mat during chattaranga rather than touching the studio floor. Yoga mat is 72 inches long which accommodates taller people as well. We also noticed that mats wear out in a couple of areas and on only one side of the mat, the textured side which is always facing up. Yoga mat has a textured traction surface on both sides of the mat so both sides of the mat can be used thus lasting twice as long. We feel standard yoga mats are sort of drab and boring with few color options.

I was having issues with my wrists during downward dog and plank poses which I figured was just par for the course. After becoming more serious with my yoga practice I found I was also experiencing pretty significant discomfort with certain back poses as well (like plow). Finally, not wanting to reduce the frequency or intensity of my class schedule, I decided to see if moving up from my 1/8″ Giam mat to something thicker would help. What I ended up finding is that this seemingly minor increase in thickness ended up not only helping my back, but also eliminated all wrist joint pain.
Pleased with the support, I also found the “stickiness” factor of this mat to be pretty good. Like all mats I’ve ever used, however, it tends to get a little slip-n-slidey halfway into a particularly strenuous workout. To eliminate that you need a towel.
All in all, I’ve been happy with the mat performance and durability. Highly recommended.
(p.s. note that you’ll need to keep the larger size of this mat when rolled up in mind — it won’t fit all standard bags/carrying cases)

This yoga mat is incredibly comfortable and easy to use. I love the fact that you can fold it up and fit it anywhere. It gives the perfect amount of comfort!
